A lone first-half goal from striker Samuel Colaco proved decisive as Snows Football Academy edged past Sports Club of Seraulim 1-0 to clinch the South Goa District Championship in the GFA U-17 League Division II playoff, held at the Nagoa Panchayat Ground on Thursday.
Snows Football Academy dominated the first half and created several scoring opportunities but were let down by poor finishing in front of goal. The breakthrough came in the 19th minute when Samuel Colaco found the back of the net with a well-placed strike, giving his team a crucial lead.
In the second half, Seraulim pushed hard in search of an equaliser, but the Snows defense remained resolute, standing firm to protect their slender advantage and secure the title.
