My Cricket Academy and Oxford registered emphatic wins in the 1st All Goa U-14 Cricket Tournament, with matches held at the Konkan Railway Cricket Ground, Margao.
In the morning fixture, My Cricket Academy defeated Margao Cricket Club (MCC) by 38 runs. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, My Cricket Academy posted a total of 121/6 in 20 overs, thanks to a solid knock of 65 by Jonas Perera, supported by Raunak Naik (21).* For MCC, Vansh Naik (3-12) and Shreyan Kauthankar (2-20) were the standout bowlers.
In response, MCC was bowled out for 83 in 16.1 overs. Vansh Kudtarkar (4-17) starred with the ball, while Sparsh Gauns (3-12) and Svanik Lotliker (2-18) provided excellent support to seal the win for My Cricket Academy.
In the afternoon match, Oxford delivered a dominant performance, thrashing VPCA (Vasu Paranjpe Cricket Academy) by 10 wickets. After electing to bowl, Oxford skittled out VPCA for a paltry 23 runs in just 9 overs. Mubarak Tadapatri (6-9) tore through the batting line-up, with Vardaan Behl (3-7) also impressing with the ball.
Oxford chased down the target comfortably in just 2.2 overs, with Sachin Bora (9)* and Rumaan Mulam (8)* guiding their team to victory without losing a wicket.
