Sinq Rangers claimed a dramatic one-wicket victory over Desserts n More Avengers in a nail-biting contest on the seventh day of the Sarsangan Priority Super Series Cricket 2026 at Arlem Cricket Ground.
Electing to bat first, the Avengers posted 155 for 7 in 20 overs. Early setbacks saw them slump to 42 for 5, but a crucial partnership between Anant Prabhugaonkar (17) and skipper Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar (38) steadied the innings. A late unbeaten cameo by Gururaj Bale (21*) pushed the total to a competitive score. Yoguesh Dalal starred with the ball for the Rangers, taking 3 for 20, supported by Granthik Buyao (2 wickets) and contributions from Dinraj Pai Khot and Shaunit Sawardekar.
Chasing 156, Sinq Rangers struggled early, losing three wickets quickly. Ashwin Kuncolienkar (24) and Sairaj Dhond (18) tried to revive the chase, but the team slumped to 61 for 5. Dr. Sagar Salgaocar’s spell kept Avengers in the hunt, reducing Rangers to 100 for 7. However, a resilient 28 from Sahil Adwalpalkar and a calm final partnership of 36 runs between Granthik Buyao (21*) and Dinraj Pai Khot (10*) guided Rangers to 159 for 9 in 18.1 overs, marking their third consecutive win.
Granthik Buyao was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance. Other awards included Siddhesh Prabhu Alvencar (Best Batter), Yoguesh Dalal (Best Bowler), Gururaj Bale (Super Striker), and Dr. Sagar Salgaocar (Impact Player). The ceremony was attended by Engr.
