The 27th Bro. D.O. Slattery Memorial All Goa Inter-School Football Tournament for U-13 boys and girls, organised by Regina Mundi High School, Chicalim, continued to showcase thrilling performances and emerging football talent from across the state.
In the girls' category, St. Anne’s Institute, Agonda delivered a dominant display, booking their place in the final with a resounding 4-0 victory over St. Jude High School, Betalbatim.
Vardhana M. Velip starred with a sensational hat-trick, while Uriel Fernandes added another to complete the scoreline. Alisha Indwar was awarded Player of the Match for her all-round contribution.
Earlier, in the girls’ semifinal, St. Anne’s Institute edged past Fatima Convent H/S, Margao in a tense tie-breaker. Goalkeeper Jaezel M. Barreto was the standout performer, earning the Player of the Match honour for her clutch saves under pressure.
In the boys’ matches, hosts Regina Mundi High School, Chicalim secured a narrow 1-0 win against St. Anne’s Institute, Agonda (Boys).
Presley Vaz scored the decisive goal, while Schmelzer Fernandes was named Player of the Match for his impressive showing on the field.
