St. Jude’s High School, Betalbatim defeated Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim 1–0 in the tie-breaker to emerge champions of the South District-level U-14 Girls Hockey Tournament, organised by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA).
The match ended in a goalless draw at full time. Catherina Toppo scored the decisive goal for St. Jude’s HS in the tie-breaker.
The winning team is seen with Physical Education teacher Chadwick Furtado, APEO Salcete Bevlyn Colaco, and tournament officials at the Gudi Quepem ground.
