St. Sebastian Youth Club Murida advanced to the quarterfinals of the Assumpta Cup 2026 after defeating Football Club of Siolim Fatorda 6-4 via a tie-breaker at the Sarzora ground on Monday.
Murida took the lead in the 11th minute through Clencio Pinto, giving them a 1-0 advantage at halftime after a closely contested opening period.
Siolim fought back strongly in the second half, with Ravnak Toraskar finding the equaliser to level the score and push the match into a penalty shootout.
In the tie-breaker, St. Sebastian YC Murida held their nerve to win 5-4, proving more clinical from the spot and securing their place in the next round.
Chandrakant Shiodkar was named Man of the Match, receiving the award from Joaquin Martins, former vice president of Sarzora SC.
