Loyola High School clinch TSH Goa Cup

Loyola High School Margao emerged champions of the TSH Goa Cup 2026 after edging past FC Goa Football Schools in a tense tie-breaker following a goalless draw in regulation time.

The final was played with great intensity, as both teams combined attacking intent with disciplined defending. Despite creating several chances, neither side could find the breakthrough in the first half, which ended 0-0.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with balanced play on both ends of the pitch. Loyola’s goalkeeper stood out with a series of crucial saves, ensuring his team stayed in contention and pushing the match into penalties. In the shootout, Loyola held their nerve to secure a 3-1 victory and lift the trophy.

Earlier, in an entertaining exhibition clash, Salgaocar Legends defeated Dempo Legends 3-1. Francis Andrade starred with a hat-trick, while Cavin Lobo scored the lone goal for Dempo Legends. Christopher Fernandes from Navelim was declared the Housie prize winner.

The event was graced by chief guest Churchill Alemao, along with guest of honour Valanka Alemao and Savio Alemao. Other dignitaries present included renowned coach Armando Colaco, Rev. Sr. Margaret Rodrigues, Allan D’Cruz, Ariston Costa, and Dr. Savio Fernandes, co-founder of TSH Goa.
