Union of Chinchinim Villagers clinch U-17 girls State title

Union of Chinchinim Villagers staged a remarkable comeback to edge past Compassion FC 4–3 via tiebreaker and claim the Under-17 Girls Playoff State Title at the Sinquetim Sports Complex, Navelim, on Monday.

The match ended 2–2 at full time after an intense and evenly contested battle.

Both teams showcased exciting, attacking football, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats throughout. The second half saw an increase in tempo and intensity, with plenty of action at both ends of the pitch as each side pushed for a winner.

With neither team able to break the deadlock in regulation time, the match was decided on penalties, where Union of Chinchinim Villagers held their nerve to prevail 4–3, sealing a memorable victory and lifting the state championship trophy.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by key officials of the Goa Football Association (GFA), including Anthony Pango, Senior Vice President, Schubert Furtado, Treasurer, Costao Paul Rodriguez, Chairman of GFA Referees, and Cosme Olveira, GFA Executive Member.
