United Boys of Ambaulim booked their place in the final of the Late Manuel Joao Pereira and Late Menino Santan Fonceca tournament with a narrow 1–0 victory over CRC Chinchinim at Rosary Church Ground, Navelim, on Friday. The semifinal was organised by Navelim Sporting Club.
A large crowd gathered to witness the clash between two strong contenders, but the first half failed to produce a breakthrough, with both sides locked at 0–0 despite several attempts.
The decisive moment came in the 43rd minute when Selton Fernandes delivered a precise pass from the left flank to Cyril Dias inside the box. Cyril controlled the ball well and calmly slotted it into the far corner to give Ambaulim the lead.
CRC Chinchinim responded with urgency, creating multiple chances through Rowan Fernandes, Seagmond Rebello, and Lerson Rebello, but were unable to find the equaliser.
Cyril Dias, whose goal proved decisive, was named Player of the Match, with the award presented by Lorry Dias.
