Fatorda: Jamshedpur FC’s head coach, Khalid Jamil, expressed his satisfaction after his team secured a 2-1 victory over FC Goa and highlighted the importance of this win, particularly as it gave his team three valuable points on the road. “It’s crucial to start the season with a positive result, especially when playing away against a strong team,” he said.
Although pleased with the result, Jamil was less satisfied with his team’s performance in the first half. He noted that it took time for his players to adjust, and they were up against a good team with a capable coach. However, he was pleased with how they bounced back in the second half.
Looking ahead, Jamil stressed the need for his team to stay confident but not complacent. “We must believe in ourselves and be prepared for the next big game. It’s important to keep working hard and aim for positive results,” he said.
Jamil praised his team’s clinical finishing and the overall effort. He highlighted that while the first half was not up to their usual standard, the defense and goalkeeper Albino made key saves. The introduction of Jordan was also noted as a turning point, as his combination play with Javi and Severio helped secure the win.
