The six-day AFC Futsal Coaching Level 1 course concluded successfully on March 28 with 24 participants from across India gaining valuable knowledge and practical exposure to futsal coaching.
The intensive programme combined both theoretical and on-field training. Key topics included coaching methodology, laws of the game, and an introduction to futsal, while practical sessions focused on technical development, including sole control, dribbling, tactical systems, and basic rotations.
Dr. Caetano Fernandes, President of the Goa Football Association, lauded the efforts of YFA in promoting futsal in Goa and the importance of qualified coaches in developing better players.
The closing ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Anthony Pango, Senior Vice President of GFA; Schubert Furtado, Chairman of the Futsal Committee; Socorro Vaz, Founder of YFA; Judon Dsouza, Assistant Tutor; and Joshuah Vaz, AFC Futsal International Tutor.
