The much-awaited Alcon GSB Unity Cup 3.0, organised by the Goa GSB Sports & Charitable Trust and powered by Alcon Anil Counto Enterprises, will host its Grand Auction on Saturday, October 4, at 4 PM at Taj Vivanta, Panaji.
The auction will decide the teams and players for the third edition of the prestigious GSB Unity Cup, which is scheduled to kick off in January–February 2026 at MCC, Margao and Panjim Gymkhana.
The official inaugural function will be held between 7 PM and 8 PM, featuring the Trophy and Jersey Unveiling along with the felicitation of team owners. The chief guest for the evening will be Shrinivas Dempo, with Yogiraj Kamat as Guest of Honour and Aakash Khaunte as Special Invitee.
This year, 10 teams will compete in the tournament. The teams and their respective owners are: CD Fountainhead(Chirag Datta Naik and Gaurav Borkar), Sinq Rangers (Sahil Adwalpalkar and Sanket Singbal), Madgaon Royals Cricket Club (Ashish Dukle and Adv Sahish Mahambrey), Desserts n More Avengers (Dr. Sagar Salgaocar), Priority Titans (Parind Nachinolkar & Swapneel Nachinolkar), KK Strikers (Kewal Kane and Amit Kamat), Shamrao Tridents (Prathamesh Sukhtankar), Dempo Challengers (Shrinivas Dempo), Vimson Panjim Powerplay (Harshvardhan Bhatkuly and Siddhant Amonkar), Rising Stars of Ponda (Dr Ketan Bhatikar).
A total of 187 players have registered, out of which 180 players will go under the hammer. Venkat Biche is chief coordinator of this tournament this year. The evening will also include a presentation of mementoes to dignitaries, speeches, and a showcase of players and teams participating in this edition of the tournament.
