Top seed Anaya Shukla and second seed Shaurya Dessai stormed into the U11 Girls singles final at the MCC All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025, organised by Margao Cricket Club in aegis with Goa Table Tennis Association, at multipurpose stadium, Fatorda.
Anaya brushed aside Claire George 3-0 in the semis after cruising past Radha Desai 3-0 in the quarters. Shaurya, meanwhile, relied on her steady backhand blocks and timely smashes to outlast Aarna Walawalkar 3-1 in the semis, having earlier dismantled Tasha Mascarenhas 3-0 in the quarterfinals.
Aarna had provided one of the day’s most gripping battles, holding her nerve in a five-game thriller to edge past Tvisha Kotkar 3-2. Claire George too impressed with her counter-spins, taking down Sanaz Shaikh 3-1 before running into the in-form Anaya.
In the U13 Boys quarters, top seed Ruhaan Shaikh swept Kavish Dalvi 3-0, fourth seed Yuvaan Sanke beat Kaushik Nair 3-0, third seed Yug Prabhu outlasted Ishaan Colaso 3-1, while second seed Vedant Wagle brushed aside Noel Kurien 3-0.
The U17 Boys last-eight saw No.1 seed Chandan Caro dominate Ruhaan Shaikh (4) 3-0, Vedant Wagle edge Yug Prabhu (4) 3-2, third seed Dhruva Kamat down Bhaavan Shrivastava 3-0, and No.2 seed Rishan Shaikh defeat Adhiraj Badave 3-0.
