Anurag and Caetano claim Masters 45+ and 60+ singles titles respectively

Young tennis stars Kyan Mavany and Tvisha Sardesai emerged champions in the Boys and Girls Under-14 categories respectively, leading a strong run of finals and decisive encounters across age groups at the ongoing Baale BPS Open 2026.
In the Boys Under-14 final, Kyan Mavany capped off an impressive campaign with a 4-1, 4-0 victory over Ethan Ataide to lift the title. In the Girls Under-14 final, Tvisha Sardesai secured the crown with a dominant 4-0, 4-2 win against Bhaavya Bhoomkar.
Earlier in the Girls Under-14 semifinals, Tvisha advanced with a 4-0, 4-0 win over Kimberly D’sa, while Bhaavya Bhoomkar edged past Urvi Panandiker 4-2, 4-0 to book her place in the final.
The Girls Under-18 category also witnessed competitive encounters. In the quarterfinals, Tvisha Sardesai defeated Analeah Menezes 6-0, Bhaavya Bhoomkar overcame Kate Fernandes 6-3, Urvi Panandiker blanked Aarshiya Mittal 6-0, and Kimberly D’sa advanced with a 6-3 win over Avni Lotlikar. In the semifinals, Tvisha Sardesai registered a close 4-3, 4-1 win over Bhaavya Bhoomkar, while Urvi Panandiker advanced with a 4-0, 2-4, 10-8 victory against Kimberly D’sa.
In the Boys Under-18 category, the quarterfinals saw Kyan Mavany defeat Alec Barreto 6-3, Shaurya Verlekar overcome Arsh Sardesai 6-1, Arhaan Gaunkar register a 6-1 win over Aymer Fernandes, and Ethan Ataide progress with a 6-1 victory against Devaansh Naik. The semifinals featured dominant performances, with Kyan Mavany defeating Shaurya Verlekar 4-0, 4-0 and Ethan Ataide overcoming Arhaan Gaunkar 4-0, 4-1.
The Masters 45+ Singles category concluded with Anurag Agarwal clinching the title after defeating Dimitry 6-0 , 6-1 in the final. In the semifinals, Dimitry had edged past Sachin Dukle 6-4, 6-0 while Anurag Agarwal secured a 6-2, 6-1 win over Kalyananaraman B. Earlier, in the quarterfinals, Dimitry blanked Neville Menezes 6-0, Sachin Dukle defeated Noel Noronha 6-2, and Anurag Agarwal overcame Pankaj Naik 6-3.
In the Masters 60+ Singles category, Caetano Fernandes emerged champion with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Manoj Pandey in the final. Manoj Pandey had earlier defeated Artemio Moraes 7-6, 6-4 in the semifinals, while Caetano Fernandes advanced with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Sameer Kakodkar.
The Masters 100+ Doubles category produced a closely contested final, with Ehrlich and Noel defeating Sachin and Kevin in a hard-fought match that ended 3-6, 7-6, 10-3. In the semifinals, Ehrlich and Noel had overcome Artemio and Aman 6-1, 6-2, while Sachin and Kevin advanced with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Anup and Basvaraj. Earlier in the quarterfinals, Ehrlich and Noel blanked Pankaj and Hanuman 6-0, Anup and Basvaraj edged past Manoj and Sanjay 7-5, and Sachin and Kevin defeated Neville and Dean 6-1.
