Sharda English High School, Marcela–Ponda emerged champions at the South District Level U17 Boys Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at the DSYA Ground.
After winning the toss, Sharda HS elected to bat first and posted 35 runs in 5 overs. Swarit Gaude (15 runs) and Aayan Mahapul (10 runs) were the top scorers. In reply, Govt. High School Colomb, Sanguem were restricted to 20 runs.
Paras Goankar starred with the ball, claiming 4 wickets, while Swarit Gaude added 2 wickets to seal the victory for the Ponda school.
At at DSYA Ground, Cuncolim, Surashree Kesarbai Kerkar High School, Ponda, celebrate their emphatic 10-wicket victory over The New Education Institute, Quepem, in the South District U17 Girls Tennis Ball Cricket Finals.
Tanishka Gaude starred with 13 runs and 1 wicket, while Tejal Gaude claimed 3 wickets for 6 runs.
