Benaulim Red booked their place in the semi-finals of the 4th Benaulim Constituency Veterans Football Tournament 2026 with a convincing 3-0 win over Varca Veterans at the SAG Vaddie Ground, Benaulim.
Jose Pereira handed Benaulim Red the ideal start, finding the back of the net with a well-taken strike that gave Varca goalkeeper Romeo no chance of making a save.
Benaulim Red continued to dominate proceedings, with Darshan Naik emerging as the star of the match. Naik scored a superb brace to put the result beyond doubt and ensure his side's progression to the last four of the tournament.
For his match-winning display, Darshan Naik was named Man of the Match. The award was presented by Benaulim MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas in the presence of Anthony Leo Fernandes and Kenedy Noronha.
