SFX Camarxet booked their place in the semifinals of the 9-a-side Curtorim Inter-Ward Football Tournament 2026 with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Fondegal at the St Alex Church Ground, Curtorim. The tournament is being organised by Sporting Club Virabhat.
Camarxet took an early lead in the fifth minute through Anslem Fernandes, who found the back of the net to make it 1-0. Fondegal had a golden opportunity to restore parity in the first half, but Jonathan D'Cunha's effort was brilliantly saved by the Camarxet goalkeeper.
After the break, Camarxet took complete control of the contest, adding four more goals. Casino Fernandes struck twice in the 30th and 35th minutes, while James Fernandes and Kingsley Fernandes added a goal each in the 40th and 47th minutes respectively to complete a commanding 5-0 triumph.
Anslem Fernandes of SFX Camarxet was adjudged Man of the Match. The award was presented by Princy Fernandes, member of Sporting Club Virabhat, in the presence of Revlon Castanha.
