Bhatti United advanced to the next round of the 9-a-side Curtorim Interward Football Tournament 2026 with a convincing 4-1 victory over Corjem Sinaibhag United (B) at the St Alex Church Ground, Curtorim. The tournament is being organised by Sporting Club Virabhat.
Bhatti United took the lead in the 15th minute when Ralf Dias finished off a pass from Peter Barreto to make it 1-0. The advantage was doubled five minutes later as Jovial Dias found the back of the net, giving Bhatti a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime.
Corjem Sinaibhag United (B) reduced the deficit in the 30th minute through Aidan Menezes, who made it 2-1 and briefly raised hopes of a comeback.
However, Bhatti United regained control of the match and sealed the result with two late goals. Richard Peixoto struck in the 42nd minute before Ralf Dias completed his brace three minutes later to make it 4-1.
Ralf Dias was adjudged Man of the Match for his outstanding performance and received the award from Salim Castanha, a member of Sporting Club Virabhat.
