Carmel Boys Curtorim secured their place in the finals of the 18th Rebello Pandal Football Tournament after a hard-fought 6–5 victory over Ghantimorod Boys Navelim via a penalty shootout at the St. Rita Church ground in Maina Curtorim on Tuesday.
Both teams played an intense, fast-paced match but were unable to break the deadlock, with the score remaining 0–0 at the end of regulation time. In the ensuing tiebreaker, Carmel Boys held their nerve to edge past Ghantimorod Boys and book their spot in the final.
Meliston Dias of Ghantimorod Boys Navelim was named Man of the Match and received the award from Rosario Fernandes.
The final will be played on Sunday, May 11, at 4:30 pm, where hosts Rebello Pandal Maina will take on Carmel Boys Curtorim.
