Dempo Sports Club will honour its former chief coach and Dronacharya Awardee, Armando Colaco, during the closing ceremony of the Football Grassroots Program on October 17, at the Dempo Football Academy, Ella, Old Goa.
The event is being organised by Dempo SC in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy, New Delhi, and supported by the prestigious Italian club AC Milan.
Colaco will be felicitated by Shri Shrinivas Dempo, Chairman of Dempo SC, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the club—both as a player and a coach. Under his leadership, Dempo SC achieved historic success, including five I-League titles.
“Your dedication, leadership, and lasting impact have played a vital role in shaping the identity and success of Dempo SC,” the club stated in its official invitation, expressing deep appreciation for Colaco’s enduring influence on Goan football.
“This recognition is a small token of our gratitude for his invaluable service and for inspiring generations of young footballers in Goa,” said Lector Mascarenhas, General Secretary of Dempo Sports Club.
