St Anthony SC Assolda booked their place in the final of the 42nd St Jose de Areal Panchayat Cup with a dominant 5–0 win over Uguem Rising Club in a one-sided semifinal clash, held at the St Jose de Areal ground. The tournament is being organised by St Jose de Areal Sports Club.
Assolda opened the scoring in the 10th minute after a Uguem defender was penalised for a handball inside the box. Frazer Gomes stepped up and calmly slotted home the resulting penalty to give his side an early lead.
Striker Vitorino Fernandes extended the advantage in the 17th minute and struck again just before halftime (44th minute), sending Assolda into the break with a commanding 3-0 cushion.
In the second half, Assolda continued their attacking display. Sheldon Fernandes and Lisbon Gracias added a goal apiece in the final quarter to complete a resounding 5-0 victory.
Frazer Gomes was named Man of the Match for his composed penalty and key assists. The award was presented by Milagres Tereza, former national referee and current GFA match commissioner.
