Saresh Korgaonkar was crowned the overall champion of the Time Trial Race held at the We for Fatorda Ground on Sunday, following a dominant and consistent performance in the 4-Stroke category.
Korgaonkar’s timing and precision throughout the event helped him edge out strong contenders, with Shivam Khetkar finishing second and Aditya Samant claiming third place on the overall podium.
The motor racing event, which saw participation across various competitive classes, drew a large crowd of motorsport enthusiasts and featured both male and female racers.
The Scooter (Ladies) and 4-Stroke (Ladies) categories were dominated by Bani Dabholkar, who claimed the top spot in both classes. Aashna Ahmed and Rita Fernandes secured second and third positions, respectively, in both these categories.
In the Scooter Open Class, Sahil Mandrekar emerged victorious, followed by Asif Bepari and Samesh Vadavodkar. Bepari also claimed the top spot in the Himalayan Class, with Samresh Vadavodkar finishing as runner-up.
The Foreign Class was won by Shivam Khedekar, with Aditya Samant finishing second and Yoshva Lobo taking third place.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai felicitated the winners. He was joined by Chirag Naik (Young Congress leader, Margao), Savio D’Silva (President, Congress South Goa District), and Orville Rodrigues (Treasurer, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee) as Guests of Honour.
