FC Siolim delivered a dominant performance to secure their place in the final of the 1st All Goa Inter Village Mansion House Football Cup 2025, defeating Rossman Cruz, Nagoa 5-1 in the first semifinal played at Cuncolim Ground on Tuesday.
Siolim all but settled the contest in a stunning first half, netting four unanswered goals that left their opponents reeling.
The match kicked off with high intensity, and Siolim wasted no time asserting control. Mayuresh Naik opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a confident solo run and clinical finish to make it 1-0. Rossman Cruz looked for a quick response through Necio Fernandes, but his efforts in the 20th and 25th minutes were smartly saved by the Siolim goalkeeper.
Siolim, however, remained ruthless in attack. Pushpraj Mandrekar doubled the lead in the 26th minute, gliding past the defense and slotting home with ease. Just minutes later, Mandrekar’s powerful strike was parried into the path of Joel Fernandes, who tapped in to extend the lead to 3-0.
From the resulting corner, Gaurav Vaingankar rose highest to head in Siolim’s fourth goal in the 32nd minute, capping off a breathtaking first-half display.
After the break, Siolim continued their dominance. In the 34th minute, Mayuresh Naik scored his second of the evening with a composed finish from the edge of the box, making it 5-0 and effectively sealing the victory.
Rossman Cruz found a consolation goal in the 38th minute through Rayson Calado, who finished off a well-worked move involving Ajay Satodkar and Roydon Rego. Rego later had two more attempts on goal, but Siolim’s defense stood firm.
At full-time, FC Siolim emerged deserved 5-1 winners and booked their spot in the final. They now await the winner of the second semifinal clash.
Mansion House Man of the Match was awarded to Mayuresh Naik for his brace and relentless attacking play. The award was presented by Desmond Vaz, Treasurer of Rising Club Savorcotto.
