Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda stormed into the quarterfinals of the 17th St. Anthony Festival Cup, with a commanding 6–1 victory over Uguem Rising Club in a match played on Thursday at the Moll Ground, Assolda. The tournament is being organized by St Anthony SC Assolda.
Joy Fernandes was the star of the match, netting an impressive four goals for Fr Agnelo YSC in the 22nd, 29th, 35th, and 43rd minutes. He was well supported by Nelson Fernandes, who contributed a brace, scoring in the 16th and 56th minutes.
The lone goal for Uguem Rising Club came from Pratamesh Gaonkar in the 29th minute.
For his outstanding performance, Joy Fernandes was adjudged Man of the Match, and the award was presented by Francisco Afonso, General Secretary of Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda.
