Fr. Angel YC Paroda stormed into the final of the 34th Super Soccer Football Tournament with a commanding 4–0 victory over Sao Jose de Areal in the second semi-final held at the Benaulim Ground on Thursday.

The match was headlined by a sensational hat-trick from Godwin Fernandes, whose pace and precision proved too much for the Areal defence. Paroda took an early lead in the 7th minute, setting the tone for a high-tempo clash.

Despite a few promising attacking spells from Areal, their efforts were repeatedly thwarted by goalkeeper Ravi Fernandes, who stood tall with a string of crucial saves. Areal, already under pressure, sorely missed the services of their defensive mainstay Bersal Viegas, whose absence was felt throughout the match.

After the break, Paroda intensified their assault. Omkar Gaokar and Joy Fernandes orchestrated a flurry of attacking moves that carved open Areal’s backline. Godwin Fernandes added two more goals in the 45th and 49th minutes, completing his hat-trick and effectively sealing the contest.

The final blow came from Livan Clemente, who converted a penalty with composure to make it 4–0, capping off a dominant team performance.

At the final whistle, Paroda’s superiority was undeniable. Godwin Fernandes was named Man of the Match, receiving the award from Anthony Pango, Vice President of the Goa Football Association, and Caetano Fernandes, President of the Cana Benaulim Sporting Association.
