MARGAO
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)/All India Football Federation (AIFF) C Licence Diploma Coaching Course commenced on June 12 at the Duler Ground, Mapusa.
Organised by the Goa Football Association (GFA), the course featured 24 experienced participants, including several former goalkeepers. The batch comprised 14 coaches from Goa and 10 from other states, reflecting a diverse mix of footballing backgrounds.
The course was conducted under the guidance of Mariano Dias, the designated instructor, with Anthony Lobo serving as the programme coordinator. Anthony Pango, Senior Vice President of GFA, was present during the opening ceremony.
According to the AIFF, the course focused on advanced coaching concepts such as game analysis, set plays, working in coordination with the head coach and support staff, and talent identification—equipping participants with the skills needed for coaching at a competitive level.
The on-going coaching course will concluded on June 23.
