MARGAO: Hosts Sporting Club Virabhat cruised into the semifinals of the Silver Jubilee Cup 2025 Inter-Ward Football Tournament, organized by SC Virabhat at the St. Alex Church Ground, Curtorim, with a dominant 4-0 victory over Unjirim United.
SC Virabhat opened the scoring early through Lourdes Fernandes in the 9th minute. Unjirim United came close to equalizing, but Floy Luis was denied by the post.
In the second half, Floydon Fernandes doubled Virabhat’s lead with a goal in the 35th minute. Vivon Fernandes then sealed the match with two quick goals in the 40th and 45th minutes, completing a convincing win.
Vivon Fernandes was named Man of the Match for his stellar performance and was felicitated by Camilo Castanha, a member of SC Virabhat.
