The All Goa Kho Kho Association will participate in the 58th Senior National Kho Kho Championship, scheduled to be held at Kazipet, Telangana, from January 11 to 15. Both Men’s and Women’s teams from Goa are fully prepared to represent the state at the national level and aim to deliver a strong and disciplined performance in the prestigious championship.
A formal farewell programme was organised for the teams, highlighting the importance of the championship and encouraging the players. Mangaldas Gaonkar, Administrative Director, Sports Authority of Goa, attended the programme as the Chief Guest, while Sudesh Nagvekar, Secretary, Swimming Association of Goa, was present as the Guest of Honour. The event was further graced by All Goa Kho Kho Association President Sunil Naik, General Secretary Sanjay Velip, Treasurer Amey Shirodkar, Senior Advisor Lima Luis, and Joint Secretary Aditya Velip, who extended best wishes to the teams.
The Goa Men’s Team, led by Captain Aniket Velip, includes Dipesh Velip, Bhart Gaonkar, Ankush Gaonkar, Prathmesh Velip, Roush Fernandes, Govind Kadam, Yovgesh Gaonkar, Ashish Velip, Sudeen Gaonkar, Ravi Velip, Suas Velip, Pravesh Velip, Amey Shirodkar, and Ruthish Gaonkar. The team will be guided by Coach Sanket Gaonkar, supported by Manager Bhushan Velip, with experienced guidance from Lima Luis.
The Goa Women’s Team will be captained by Amisha Velip, with Suvidha Velip serving as the Vice-Captain. The team comprises Arti Velip, Pratikash Gaonkar, Rashmila Mishra, Shradha Gaude, Supriya Velip, Yukta Samant, Dikshita Dasar, Ashvita Velip, Namrata Shirodkar, Ashwini Velip, Sweta Velip, Aishwarye Kurpasker, and Simran Gounkar. The squad will compete under the leadership of Coach Sanjay Velip, assisted by Assistant Coach Savita Velip, while Manager Dilip Velip will oversee team operations.
