Legal Titans and Lawyer Challengers have stormed into the final of the Advocates Cricket League (ACL) 2025–26 after registering impressive victories in their respective semi-finals. While Legal Titans pulled off a thrilling chase against United Brothers, Lawyer Challengers displayed a disciplined all-around performance to overcome 18 Juners. Both semi-final matches were played at the GCA Academy Ground, Porvorim, on Friday. The much-anticipated final between Legal Titans and Lawyer Challengers will be played on Saturday (January 10) at 6.00 pm at the same venue.
In the first semi-final, league-stage toppers United Brothers suffered a surprising defeat as Legal Titans pulled off the highest successful run chase in the history of the tournament. Batting first, United Brothers posted a formidable 215 for 4 in 20 overs, with Devanand Korgaonkar top-scoring with a brilliant 57 runs.
Chasing the massive target, Legal Titans produced a breathtaking batting display. Kishan Kavlekar smashed 45 off just 18 balls, while Kyle Ticlo remained unbeaten on a sensational 55 off 19 deliveries, guiding their team to victory with five wickets in hand and two balls to spare.
The second semi-final was a comparatively low-scoring affair, where Lawyer Challengers successfully defended 151 runs, restricting 18 Juners to 134 for 5 in 20 overs to win by 17 runs. Iftikhar Agha was the most successful bowler with 2 wickets fo just 32 runs. Skipper Achit Shigwan led from the front with an excellent all-round performance, scoring 37 runs and also claiming one wicket to seal the win.
With both teams in fine form, an exciting contest is on the cards as Legal Titans and Lawyer Challengers lock horns for the ACL 2025–26 championship title.
