MARGAO: GTS Tollecanto Cross Boys Velim advanced to the semifinals of the 2nd edition of the AVCC Nine-a-Side Open Invitational Football Tournament, held at the Velim Church Grounds.
In a closely contested encounter, GTS Tollecanto overcame hot favourites AVCC XI via a tie-breaker after both teams remained deadlocked at the end of regulation time.
The GTS goalkeeper delivered a standout performance and was adjudged Man of the Match. The award was presented by Julio Fernandes, ZP of Velim.
