Wembley Boys Fatorda emerged champions of the 8th Damdolem Sports Cup 2026 after edging past Dias Brothers Curtorim 10–9 in a dramatic penalty shootout at Raitollem Ground, Curtorim, on Saturday.
The thrilling final, witnessed by a large crowd, kept fans on the edge of their seats as both teams delivered an intense performance. The match ended 3–3 at the end of regulation time, with six goals scored in an exciting contest.
For Dias Brothers Curtorim, Shanny Costa, Joywin Costa, and Salvin Fernandes found the net, while Sidney, Frazer, and Stallen scored for Wembley Boys Fatorda to keep the scores level.
With no winner decided in regular play, the match moved to a penalty shootout, where Wembley Boys Fatorda proved more composed and clinched the title 10–9.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginald Lourenco as the chief guest. He presented the awards in the presence of Moreno Rebelo, former ZP of Curtorim, along with other dignitaries and club officials.
