Guardian Angel SC narrowly defeated a determined Sporting Club Davorlim 2-1 in a thrilling semifinal encounter of the 34th Super Soccer Tournament, to secure their place in the title clash.

The match burst into action early, with Ivon Costa striking in the 5th minute, giving Guardian Angel a vital lead and putting Davorlim on the back foot. However, with Niasso and Alent Colaco orchestrating the midfield, Davorlim grew into the game. Their efforts paid off when Alent Colaco curled a superb shot into the top corner, levelling the score at 1-1.

The second half saw relentless pressure from Davorlim, but Guardian Angel’s goalkeeper stood tall, pulling off a series of stunning saves to keep his side in the contest.

The breakthrough came in the 53rd minute, when Frazer Gomes connected with a spectacular diving volley that rocketed into the net—an unforgettable moment of brilliance that proved to be the match-winner.

Davorlim threw men forward in search of an equaliser, but the defensive duo of Milroy Clemente and Cruz Gomes held firm, shutting down every attack.

At the final whistle, Guardian Angel emerged victorious, and Frazer Gomes was deservedly awarded Man of the Match, presented by Nicholas Rodrigues, former India international and current coach of Livval Sports Club, Benaulim.
