The Golden Eagle initiative’s commitment to nurturing young talent reached a significant milestone as midfielder Kapil Hoble made his mark for Dempo Sports Club.

The youngster wasted no time in making an impression, capping off his debut with a flawless 100% pass accuracy—an encouraging glimpse of his potential.

Hoble has previously represented India at the U-17 level, and his consistent performances in the Goa Professional League, Reliance Foundation Development League, and other domestic competitions highlighted his immense promise, paving the way for this breakthrough. His rise is not only a proud moment for Dempo but also an inspiration for aspiring footballers across Goa. His journey reflects the club’s vision of developing homegrown talent and underscores the strength of its youth development system.

“I’m grateful to all my coaches, teammates, and everyone at the club who has supported me throughout this journey. This motivates me to keep working hard and contribute more to the team,” Hoble said.

Speaking about the Indian football structure, Hoble emphasized the importance of competitive leagues in bridging the gap between junior and senior international football. He noted that such leagues expose young players to high-pressure situations alongside experienced national and foreign professionals, helping them develop tactical awareness, resilience, and composure.

Reflecting on his recent performances, Hoble admitted, “My performance in the last match was not up to my expectations. However, I am determined to improve and contribute more effectively in the upcoming matches. In the first six games of the season, we gave our best as a team, but results did not go our way. Winning the last match has given us renewed confidence and momentum, and we are focused on carrying this positive energy into the next fixtures.”

He also highlighted the team’s improvement compared to last season. “Our squad is stronger and more balanced this year. We have a good mix of talented Indian and foreign players, which adds depth to the team. Our coach, Samir Naik, has been extremely dedicated and continues to motivate us both on and off the field, creating a positive and competitive environment,” he added.

Hoble expressed pride in his long association with his parent club. “I have been with Dempo SC for many years, and it is a matter of great pride for me. My aim is to contribute to the club’s success and help it reach greater heights, including qualification for the Indian Super League and the AFC Champions League. Representing India remains one of my biggest dreams, and I will continue to work hard to achieve it,” he concluded.
