MARGAO
Margao Cricket Academy (MCA) has announced a 10-day Level A Cricket Coaching Course and Refresher scheduled to be held from August 29 to September 7, 2025. The 60-hour course, comprising 30 hours of theory and 30 hours of practical sessions, is aimed at aspiring cricket coaches and retired club cricketers interested in coaching or setting up their own academies.
The course will be conducted by Hemant Angle, a veteran cricket coach and former Goa Ranji player, who has played 33 consecutive Ranji Trophy matches. Angle holds an ICC Level 3 certification, along with credentials from NIS, MSDCA, and NCA. He has over 35 years of practical coaching experience, including stints as Head Coach of the South Zone Duleep Trophy team and as coach for the Assam Cricket Association. Angle has also served five years with the M.S. Dhoni Cricket Academy, coaching in cities such as Raipur, Ahmedabad, Panipat, Ajmer, and Kolhapur.
This will be the fourth coaching course conducted by Angle, following two successful 10-day courses in Nashik and a 15-day course for the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG).
According to MCA, the course aims to equip participants with the correct methods of coaching, ensuring they are prepared to train students with sound fundamentals. The academy has also assured that certificates will be awarded to all successful participants.
The course fee is ₹5,000 (all-inclusive), which covers training, materials, morning tea, vegetarian lunch, evening tea, and two MCA T-shirts to be worn as part of the uniform during the course. Participation is limited to 20 candidates to ensure quality interaction and learning.
