MARGAO: Navelim Sporting Club edged out Cuncolim Union with a narrow 1-0 win to enter the quarterfinals of the St Rock's Super Soccer Inter-Village Football Tournament at Calata Majorda ground on Friday.
The decisive moment came early, as Velton Fernandes netted the lone goal in the sixth minute. Despite the loss, Zidane Shaikh of Cuncolim Union was adjudged Man of the Match for his impressive performance.
