Goa Medical College emerged as the overall champion of Rannbhoomi 5.0, medical and paramedical sports championship, while Goa Dental College secured the runner-up position.
The event was successfully organized by the Student Council of Gomantak Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Shiroda recently. The three-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 8 medical and paramedical colleges, with an overall footfall of nearly 500 students.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Subhash Shirodkar. The Guests of Honour included Advocate Narendra Sawalikar. The event was held under the guidance of Incharge Principal Dr. Aditya Samant, along with Sports Incharge Dr. Vijay Kumar Nandavdekar and Neha Jamuni.
The competitions conducted over the three days included cricket, yoga, chess, badminton, striking, carrom and table tennis. The event saw high energy, sportsmanship, and active participation from all colleges.
The valedictory function on the third day was attended by Chief Guest Gajanana Bakhale and Guest of Honour Abhay Prabhu. Also present were Principal Dr. Neelesh Korde, Sports Incharges Dr. Vijay Kumar Nandavdekar, Dr. Heramb Hattikar, and Neha Jamuni.
