Wilred Leisure Curtorim edged past Dicarpali Sports Club 5-4 via tiebreaker in the inaugural match of the Mount Carmel Trophy 2026, organised by Carmel Sports Club Telaulim at Rosary Church Ground, Navelim, on Monday.
The match remained goalless at full time after a tightly contested battle, forcing the winner to be decided through a penalty shootout.
In the decisive tiebreaker, Wilred Leisure Curtorim held their nerve as James Fernandes, Savio Peixoto, Elton Mascarenhas, Jovial Martins, and Jhonson Bogot converted their spot-kicks. For Dicarpali Sports Club, Admon Gomes, Aeron Figueredo, Jerry Miranda, and Floyd Rocha found the net, but it was not enough to secure victory.
