RCC Margao delivered a commendable performance at the 3rd Invitational Fit For Life Swimming Competition, organized in association with the Goa Swimming Association, held at Headland Sada, Vasco recently.
The club’s swimmers secured a total of 11 medals, including multiple individual and relay events.
Reuben Rocha, a 10-year-old student of Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose De Areal, was the top performer for RCC. He won six medals, including four bronze medals in 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly stroke, 50m breaststroke, and 100m butterfly stroke. Two silver medals in the 4 x 50m mixed butterfly stroke relay and the 4 x 50m mixed medley relay
Aradhya Pradeep Borkar (8), a student of Vidhya Bharti Primary School, Margao, won three medals silver medals in 50m breaststroke and 50m backstroke, bronze medal in 50m butterfly stroke
Aarav Vaghela (15), from The King’s School, added to the tally with a silver medal in the 4 x 50m freestyle relay and bronze medal in the 4 x 50m mixed butterfly relay.
All three athletes train under Coach Inacio Netty Raposo at the RCC Margao center in Fatorda. The event witnessed participation from several leading swimmers across Goa, and RCC Margao’s strong medal haul highlights the club’s growing stature in competitive swimming.
