Swimmers trained by RCC Margao coach Inacio "Netty" Raposo delivered an impressive performance at the 9th National Finswimming Championship, organised by the Underwater Association of India from May 29 to 31 at Campal, Panaji.
Competing in the senior category, Nigel Mark Raposo won two silver medals, finishing second in the 400m Bi-Fins event and the 4x100m Bi-Fins Mixed Relay.
In the Under-18 (Group B) category, Nathan Rafael Raposo secured two silver medals in the 4x50m AP/BF Mixed Relay and the 4x100m Bi-Fins Mixed Relay. He also claimed a bronze medal in the 4x50m Bi-Fins Mixed Relay.
Nyla Raposo also represented Goa at the championship and participated in multiple events.
The achievements of Nigel, Nathan and Nyla reflect the strong training programme under coach Inacio "Netty" Raposo and added to Goa's presence at the national-level competition.
