The Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) continues to strengthen grassroots cricket development by deploying trained coaches across the state, ensuring aspiring cricketers have access to professional guidance at multiple centres.

According to the latest coaching schedule, SAG currently has 13 cricket coaches working across various locations in Goa, conducting morning and evening sessions to train young players in batting, bowling, fielding, and overall match preparation. SAG officially lists cricket among its recognized coaching disciplines across the state.

Among the prominent coaches is Sandeep Naik, who trains budding cricketers at PJN Stadium from 6:30 am to 9:30 am and again from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Narayan Kambli conducts coaching sessions at SAG Ground Campal during the same timings. At Bloomz International School, coach Damodar Redkar mentors young players.

Shishir Divkar oversees morning coaching at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, while evening sessions are held at SAG Ground Campal.

Shriram Naik trains players at Poira High School in the morning followed by evening coaching at Municipal Ground.

Coach Nilesh Mulgaonkar conducts sessions at Narayan Zantye Sports Complex. Gauresh Fadte trains athletes at Sports Complex.

Anil Naik operates between Sports Complex Shiroda on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, while also coaching at Sports Complex on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Abhinay Sanvordekar conducts morning sessions at Sports Complex Shiroda, with evening training at School of Symbiosis.

Ajay Chavan trains cricketers at Sports Complex Chicalim in both morning and evening batches.

Surat Gawas oversees training at Hanuman Vidyalaya High School in the mornings, while evening sessions are split between Our Lady of Lourdes High School and Hanuman Vidyalaya on different days.

Gaurang Dhuri trains players at Viscount of Pernem High School on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and at Sports Complex Peddem on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Harshanand Gaonkar also conducts regular sessions at Sports Complex Peddem.

With coaching centres spread across North and South Goa, SAG’s initiative is helping identify and nurture future cricket talent while making professional training accessible to youngsters from both urban and rural areas. Officials say the structured coaching network reflects the government’s continued push to promote cricket at the grassroots level.
