MARGAO: Santa Cruz Boys Davorlim booked a quarterfinal spot in the TYC Trophy Football Tournament, organized by Telaulim Youth Club, with a 2-1 win over YBR Ratwado at the Government Primary School Ground, Telaulim on Friday.
YBR opened the scoring through Sagar, but Veliston Colaco and Melchoir Miranda struck for Santa Cruz Boys Davorlim to secure the victory. Colaco was awarded Man of the Match by Carmel Sports Club.
In another match, SFX Fradilem edged Rosary Youth Club Nagmodem 1-0, with Nadel Pinto scoring the decisive goal. Both wins saw the teams advance to the next stage of the tournament.
