PANAJI: The Sports Authority of Goa (SAG), in collaboration with the Goa Tennis Ball Cricket Association, will conduct taluka-wise selection trials for Schedule Tribe (ST) players to form men’s and women’s taluka teams in tennis ball cricket. The selected teams will participate in the 9th State Level Tribal Sports Festival, scheduled at Adarsh Gram, Amone, Poinguinim, Canacona, Goa, from January 9 to 11.
The trials for all talukas will be held on December 28 at 9.30 am at designated venues across Goa. The venues and incharges are: Pernem – V.P Ground, Warkhand (Harsh Gala); Bardez – Peddem Sports Complex (Sheetal Chari); Sattari – Govt. High School, Pissurlem (Virendra Majik/Deepa Gaude); Bicholim – Velguem Ground near Shrimati High School (Nitin Parsekar); Tiswadi – SAG Ground, Campal (Hemant Khot); Mormugao – SAG Ground, Chicalim (Manthan Adpaikar); Salcete – SAG Open Ground, Fatorda (Samesh Naik); Dharbandodra – Babuliwada Karmone (Kirpal Dabal/Rahul Gaonkar); Ponda – Ponda Sports Complex (Ajinkya Naik); Sanguem – V.P Ground, Bhati (Samir Bhat); Quepem – Govt. High School, Balli (Jaimala Velip); Canacona – Devbag Sports Complex (Kirtan Vaiz).
