MARGAO: Tino Boys, Cuncolim, advanced to the quarterfinals of the 19th All Goa Rebello Pandal Football Tournament with a 4-1 victory over ABC 13, decided via a tiebreaker, at St. Rita Church ground, Maina, on Sunday.
Both sides played attacking football, creating chances, but neither could break the deadlock during regular play, with the match ending 0-0. In the ensuing tiebreaker, Tino Boys proved superior in finishing, converting four of their spot-kicks to clinch the win.
The Man of the Match award was presented by Carlos Paes, sports and Konkani drama promoter, recognising an outstanding individual performance during the game.
