Power Panthers Porvorim defeated Dhadsakhal Stars by 7 wickets to win the Oxford-organized Junior Cricket Championship. In the final match held under floodlights at the 1919 Cricket Stadium in Verna on Saturday, Dhadsakhal Stars posted 191 for 9 in 25 overs. In reply, Power Panthers Porvorim chased down the target comfortably, scoring 192 for 3 in 22 overs to lift the championship trophy.
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted at the hands of the chief guests, Adv. Iftikhar Agha, Darshan Misal, Anup Vernekar, and Vinvi Gurav. Chief organizer Romeen (Bunty) Mulam and members of the JCC organising committee were also present on the occasion.
