Trials for SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship

The SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship is set to take place from January 13 to 26, 2026 in Thailand, and preparations are underway with state-level selections scheduled for later this month. The Goa Football Association has announced that a two-day selection trial for women players will be held on November 19 and 20 at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim, from 3 pm to 5 pm. Players are required to attend both days of the trials and must report to the venue in full playing kit. Those shortlisted from the Goa trials will be nominated to participate in the AIFF’s national selection camp, to be held from November 24 to 28.

Fr Agnelo SCC move into semis
MARGAO: Fr Agnelo Sports and Cultural Club, Paroda advanced to the semifinals of the 19th All Goa Guirdolim Panchayat Cup with a 4-3 win via tie-breaker against United Boys of Ambaulim at the Chandor Church Sports Complex. After a goalless match in which Ambaulim created the better chances and the Paroda keeper pulled off key saves, the contest was settled on penalties. Paroda converted four of their five kicks, while Ambaulim managed three, with Paroda goalkeeper Ravil Fernandes making a crucial save. Ravil was named Player of the Match.

FC Goa drub Sporting Clube 6-2
MARGAO: FC Goa defeated Sporting Clube de Goa 6-2 in the Salcete FC U-14 tournament at Sinquetim, with Ludovico Figueiredo scoring five goals and Dwayne D’Cruz adding one. Roshan and Pearson struck for Sporting, who fought back in the second half but could not close the gap. Figueiredo was named Man of the Match. In the day’s second game, Salcete FC-CDS and Dempo SC drew 1–1. Sameer Bepari scored on the rebound after his penalty was saved, before Jess Gomes equalised for Dempo in added time. Dempo’s Rubaz Khan won the Man of the Match award.
