Story
God has blessed our land with natural resources and it is our ardent duty to protect it and preserve this pristine beauty for the generations to come. The story of this film is about the flowing of the Madhei and how the flowing water is witnessing the danger from human beings. The film is a call to Goans to protect our natural resources as we have received it.
Screenplay
The Screenplay of the film is written to the point and the topic is handled with good poise. “I don’t fear wild animals but I fear humans as it is humans who are all out to destroy me” is a very powerful dialogue of Madhei incarnate, which provides great food for thought. The concept and development of the concept are worth appreciating. However, the screenplay is more of a one-act play than a film.
Music
The film has no theme track or any other song. Music is the drawback of this film. There are little background effects that do not suffice. But the scope for a musical score, be it in song or background effects, are visible in abundance.
Acting
The two artistes, Abhilasha Patil as the incarnated Mhadei river and Sunil Tate as the youth, keep the attention of the viewers glued to them. Abhilasha Patil has a lot of grace and is a treat to watch.
Cinematography
The cinematography and camera capture of shots is average. The film is shot as enacted and no efforts are put in to bring out the excellence in cinematographic. The film is shot basically with the zoom shots with hardly any close-ups or mid shots. The editing is good.
Direction
The film falls flat due to this aspect which gives the film an amateurish feel. There is no coordination of different aspects of filmmaking. Nevertheless, the film gives a good message for the protection of our natural resources, which is a call from Mother Earth.
