Margao MLA Digambar Kamat has said that roads in Margao city will be hot mixed only after the Sewerage department gives the go-ahead signal and certify that the work of laying the underground sewage line is complete.

He was speaking to the media after launching road hot mixing works along the ring road at an estimated cost of over Rs 1.46 crore.

When the media sought to know when the badly damaged roads will be hot mixed for smooth flow of vehicular traffic, Kamat said that while tenders for hot mixing have been floated, the actual work will start only after the Sewerage department certifies that no more digging is required along the particular road.

The former chief minister has warned that any agency involved in illegal road digging without the permission of the authorities after the hot mixing will be hauled up as per the law.
