Snow's FA down YC Manora 2-1
MARGAO:Snow's Football Academy defeated Youth Club of Manora 2-1 in the GFA's Under 16 league at Panchayat grounds, Raia on Monday. There was no score at lemon break.
Both the teams started the game on a cautious note, as the match progressed, Snow's Football Academy took control over the match but failed to break the impasse. Crossing over, Snow's Football Academy were a dominant lot with their forwards showing spunk. Persistent attacks bore fruit when Moses Fernandes bulged the net in the 50th minute off an asssit from Joel.Stunned by the goal, Youth Club of Manora went into the attacking mode and in the 63rd minute, Dylan Albino cancelled the lead. Unfazed, Snow's Football Academy piled on the pressure and in the 70th minute Maxon Colaco struck the match winner to give his team three full points.Meanwhile, in another match Dempo SC played out a 2-2 draw against Assonara United SC at Quitula grounds, Aldona. Assonora opened the scoring in the 27th minute through Depesh Naik. Dempo equalised in the 36th minute off Ronsen Soares.Assonora made it 2-1 in the 37th minute, thanks to a self goal by Deeepraj Govekar. Dempo made it 2-2 in the 70th minute through Daniel D'costa.
Chess camp at Ponda from Dec 26
PANAJI: Champion's Chess Academy will organize Xmas chess camp at Ponda, Warkhande (venue: Kurtarkar commercial arcade) for children of agegGroup (4-17) under the guidance of Wilson Cruz for beginner and advance level.
