A clash between two groups erupted over a land dispute at Dhavrem“Usgao on Thursday night, leaving seven individuals injured. Police responded by registering cases against both groups following the submission of counter complaints.
The altercation occurred around 8:30 pm on Thursday, resulting in injuries to seven individuals. They were promptly taken to Goa Medical Hospital at Bambolim and were discharged after receiving treatment. Subsequently, both groups lodged counter complaints against each other at Ponda police station.
Authorities took action by registering cases against individuals from both groups involved in the conflict. Among those named were Sunil Savlo Kurtikar and Sudesh Savlo Kurtikar from the first group, and Pritesh Ganesh Kurtikar, Ganesh Kurtikar, Rama Anand Kurtikar, Rajendra Anand Kurtikar, and Usha Ganesh Kurtikar from the second group.
Police apprehended seven individuals on Friday morning in connection with the incident. However, they were later released on bail.
