OLD GOA

The Corlim panchayat has asked for major corrections in the Regional Plan 2021 for the village, with the villagers demanding that the village be granted VP3 status, as against the VP1 status approved.

At a special gram sabha, the villagers also recommended that the NH-4A shown in the plan should be designated as village road and the major district road shown along the southern periphery of the village and joining NH-17 at Agassaim should be shown as NH-4A.

The villagers have also asked for establishing a new burial ground for all communities in survey number 57/1 while also suggesting that a market should be designated at survey number 11.

The villagers have also identified sites for setting up three bus shelters, one opposite Dulapi road, second in front of Montfort school and the third near Bhomkar Residency.

A proposed 10-metre road which is shown in the plan, passing through survey numbers 121 and 122, has been rejected by the villagers who have asked that the same be deleted from the plan.
